WHEN: Saturday, May 3rd,
2014 - Show starts at 8:15 a.m. sharp.
WHERE: Ballentrae Community
Center, Just north of Stouffville, Ontario, Canada.
COST : $65 per entrant,
which includes one 6 ft. tables. No walk-ins except for 12 and under for
Childrens division. Email lisa.sharpe at Hotmail com for Paypal information and
availability of space. Personal checks are not accepted without my
consent. There is a $40 fee charged for any returned checks.

SET UP: 7:15 am. You
will need to check in with Lisa Sharpe prior to setting up your table.
This show is NAMSHA and
DIVISION (12 and under) - will start first somewhere around 10 am after
the collectors class. This Division is not NAMHSA approved. Places
1st through 6th will be placed in each class. There will be a Champion
class at the end, rosettes will be awarded for Champion and Reserve
Champion. Any model who won a 1st or 2nd will be eligible for the

this division will not get a table but will there will be a separate area for
children to enjoy the day – and there is a play area outside.
Showers registered in
the regular show with a table may also show in this division if 12 or under.
This division meets
the Breyer Live Show Benefit Program requirements
AWARDS: Flat ribbons for 1st
through 6th place (may be paper or ribbon); First and second place (both
breed and collectability/workmanship for eligible classes) winners will also
get a NAN card which qualifies them to enter the 2015/2016/2017/2018 North
Overall Champions and Reserves will win
Other surprise awards may be done on
the day of the show.

NORTH AMERICAN MODEL HORSE SHOW
ASSOCIATION rules are in effect for this (PENDING) MEMBER
SHOW. Each horse that is awarded a first or second placing will be given
a "NAN Card". This card allows the model entry to the North American
Nationals in 2015/2016/2017/2018. It is the winner's responsibility to fill
this card out completely and to keep track of it. Replacement cards are
not issued by either the showholder or NAMHSA for any reason. Judges are
not to show in the divsions they are judging. Judges are not to judge the
horses of their "relatives/significant others". Judges may not
judge horses they have owned within the last 6 months, nor are they to judge
any horse upon which they have collaborated upon creating. Please
First and second place equids (and eligible fantasy
equids) will receive a NAN card in all qualifying NAMHSA classes.
AREA HOTELS: Stouffville and Aurora are
close by. I don’t have any specific recommendations
LUNCH: There will be a 30 to 45
minute lunch break around Noon. No lunch will be provided, although there
will be complimentary food available at the show in the morning. You will need
to either pack a sandwich or plan on going to a local fast food
restaurant. There are only a few places nearby to order and perhaps an
order can be sent out early for lunch delivery (Greek home style hamburger
place and pizza) NOT NUTS allowed on premis
BEVERAGES: Water and
coffee will be provided.
REFUNDS: Refunds will ONLY be made for
extenuating circumstances if someone can be found to replace your spot in the
CLASS LIMITS: three
traditional/classic models per class, three minis per class, 3 performance
models per class. Each model may only be entered in ONE Breed class
in the entire show. This does not include performance.
If you would like to enter more than 3
models in a specific halter class a dollar can be put with the model(s) in
question and will be considered a donation
MODEL IDENTIFICATION: all models
are to be tagged by the owners, PRIOR to the show, with white string tags,
approximately 1 x 1.5" in size. These "price tags" are available
at WalMart and office supply stores. The models breed and gender are to be on
one side of the tag; the models name and the owners three initials or name are
to be on the reverse. When horses are placed on the table, the tags MUST be
breed/gender side up, with the identifying information FACING THE TABLE to make
the entry anonymous, or the judge may disqualify the entry.
SHOW TABLES: Each entrant will
have a 6 foot table space. ALL of your personal property must fit on
or under this table. We need to be sure to keep all doorways and
aisleways clear in case of fire, and not to mention others could trip, injure
themselves, and damage horses finishes and/or body parts. Any damage is
the sole responsibility of those involved. It is not the liability
of the show/show holders. Please be courteous to
others. Everyone has a small space and we must keep within the
SALES TABLES: You may sell from
your table. Show management retains the right to refuse sales
tables to non-showers. Please contact Lisa Sharpe
ELECTRONIC DEVICE POLICY:
Electronic devices (phones, lap tops, etc.) are allowed. Just be
reasonable as to the volume.
SECURITY AND LIABILITY: Security is the
responsibility of each individual exhibitor. Show management, judges,
volunteers and other associated parties shall not be held liable for any kind
of damages or loss to persons or property. Models can get damaged
when at a show so be careful when moving around tables.
CHILDREN: It is suggested that
young children are not brought to the show as they become bored and in their
activity may damage personal property of others. If you must bring your
child(ren) please note is it your responsibility for their behavior. You may be
asked to remove the child(ren) from the show site if they become disruptive,
and classes will not be held up and refunds will not be given. You will also be
held liable for any damage that your child(ren) do.
NO NUTS ARE ALLOWED IN THE SHOW HALL –
PLEASE RESPECT THIS SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
PETS are not allowed.
No alcohol or smoking in the show
Foul language and unsportsmanlike
conduct are grounds for dismissal from the show with no refunds.
Do not handle anyone else's horses for
ANY reason without their permission.
UNCLAIMED MODELS Models not removed
from the show tables in a rapid and timely manner will be moved to a "Pony
Pound". The show/staff shall not be held liable for damage or loss
to these models.
Please stay away from the judges while
they are judging. Save your questions for between classes. All decisions are
final and are up to the individual judge.
ORIGINAL FINISH MODELS ARE NOT TO BE
ALTERED IN ANY WAY. Repairs only are allowed. These models MAY be restored;
however it is the discretion of the judges as to whether or not the model has
been restored or repaired properly. Judges may disqualify altered horses at
TIPPY MODELS may be shown lying down on
a soft cloth. If you do not want this model handled, place a 3x5 card next to
it stating that the model is NOT to be touched. If the judge is not to handle
the model, the judge may so choose not to include it in the judging.
BREED QUESTIONS: If you have
questions regarding what class your model should go in you can ask the day of
the show or email questions and I will try and help. However the breed
segregation is pretty standard and it should be fairly easy to decide where
your piece should be shown.
Breyers will be divided by releases of Regular run
(over 1000 released in ANY manor) or Runs <1000
Documentation is encouraged and can make the
difference in placing in a class.
This category is for all stones that use the
original mold as is or with only very minor changes such as a different mane or
tail. Many molds were made “standard” with more than 1 mane and tail option –
these belong in this division
Factory Custom STONE
This category is designed to separate out the
factory customs that are anything beyond a minor change to the mane or tail.
This will be at the discretion of the judge. If you have to ask it is probably
DAH’s and OOAKS can be in either stone division.
Documentation is HIGHLY encouraged in all classes.
DEFINITION OF CUSTOM: Any original finish
model that has been altered beyond simple repairs, including Sandicast,
Starlite, Breyer resins, or other mass produced models. No artist resin
models will be shown in this division.
DEFINITION OF ARTIST RESIN: Any artist's
personal creation sculpted in resin which is not considered "mass
produced". If the artist resin has been structurally altered or
altered in any way, it still shows in this division.
JUDGES: Show management reserves
the right to assign any judges to any classes or divisions at any time. All
NAMHSA rules will be followed in the assignment of judges and the actions of judges.
Judging is the opinion of the individual judge, and personal opinions cannot be
controlled or legislated by the show management.
